Terrific film posters coming up!

A poster is like a book cover. And though you can't really judge either by its surface, it sure helps to look.

Hot, witty or clever, movie posters are the heartbeat of a film's promotion. We look at some of the nicer ones doing the rounds:

My Name is Khan

The unbeatable team of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is back! Only this time there's none of the style and spectacle associated with previous Karan Johar bonanzas.

His new film, titled, My Name is Khan is a serious drama set in post 9/11 US and deals with the issues of ethnic discrimination.

At the same time it's about the delicate relationship between a man suffering from a mild form of autism, and his wife. Apart from the legendary SRK-Kajol chemistry, it should be interesting to watch the actor in a challenging, new avatar.

Chance Pe Dance

After Kaminey and Dil Bole Hadippa, Shahid Kapoor is all set to flaunt his terrific dancing skills yet again for Ken Ghosh's full-on musical, Chance Pe Dance.

And who better than the effervescent Genelia D'Souza to match his steps? The exuberant duo makes quite an impression on the film's recently-out poster.

Kites

Considering Hrithik Roshan is all about one-film-at-a-time, it's always a pleasure to watch him on screen. The same can be said about this hot poster of Rakesh Roshan's Kites where the star shows off some of his salsa moves with Mexican hottie Barbara Mori in tow.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Kites is a passionate romance or as Roshan Jr sums it, a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures.

Pyaar Impossible

After the ho-hum animation Roadside Romeo, director Jugal Hansraj collaborates with buddy Uday Chopra to concoct the romantic comedy, Pyaar Impossible starring Priyanka Chopra.

Interestingly besides producing and playing hero, Uday has also penned the script, which is rumoured to take inspiration from Julia Roberts-Hugh Grant hit, Notting Hill.

Well, Priyanka, like Roberts in the film, is certainly a mega star at the moment.

3 Idiots

There are many reasons to look forward to 3 Idiots. It's directed by Rajkumar Hirani -- the man behind the fabulously feel-good Munnabhai series.

It stars Aamir Khan and anything the man works on is almost always good. It also stars Kareena Kapoor. Now we all know, when in right hands, what a powerhouse Bebo can be.

All this and more makes 3 Idiots, based on Chetan Bhagat's Five Point Someone quite an anticipated biggie. And this teaser of poster only fuels our expectations even more.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

There's something exceptionally exciting about untried jodis. That's what makes Rajkumar Santoshi's soon-to-release Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani all that special.

A hip and casual Ranbir Kapoor. A coy but trendy Katrina Kaif. Their chemistry has cuteness written all over it. Let's hope the audience agrees too.

Road to Sangam

Road to Sangam might be the A Wednesday of this year.

In Amit Rai Shethia's thought-provoking drama about religious extremism, Paresh Rawal plays a Muslim mechanic given the responsibility of fixing a V8 Ford engine, which is reputed to have carried Mahatma Gandhi's ashes to the river Sangam.

Torn between terror and religion-based politics, Rawal has to make a life-turning decision. Road to Sangam makes a point. And so does its symbolical poster.

What's Your Raashee?

Everyone is/has been into Linda Goodman's Sun Signs at some point in their lives. Ashutosh Gowariker explores the same through his lighthearted caper about bride hunting through zodiacs in What's Your Raashee starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra in 12 different roles.

Colourful, eclectic and perfectly articulating the film's theme, this poster is simply swell.
