Three films released last week and all of them opened poorly. Tere Bin Laden has got good reviews and was appreciated by critics. Some theatres even replaced Lamhaa with Tere Bin Laden. Udaan, too, is expected to sink.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives us the box office verdict for the week.

Red Alert - The War Within

Cast: Suneil Shetty, Sameera Reddy, Vinod Khanna, Seema Biswas, Ayesha Dharker, Seema Biswas, Naseeruddin Shah, Gulshan Grover.
Director: Anant Narayan Mahadevan.
Brave foray into hitherto unexplored territory.

Trivialises a very serious issue.

BO Verdict: Flop.


I Hate Luv Storys

Cast: Imran Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Samir Soni, Bruna Abdullah, Samir Dattani.
Director: Punit Malhotra
Good performance from Samir Soni. Lovely songs.

Very cliched. Filled with masala.

BO Verdict: Average.


Mr Singh Mrs Mehta

Cast: Aruna Shields, Prashant Narayanan, Naved Aslam and Lucy Hassan.
Director: Pravesh Bhardwaj

Prashant is good, deft handling of infidelity.

Slow pace.

BO Verdict: Flop.

Visually stunning, great performances.

Weak screenplay.
